Today is just another Sunday but I find it so much better than other Sundays....
A friend asked me why do I feel so ? My answer is the perception of how I want to make it a better one..perhaps there has been a change from my boring routine...
I met up with my best friend Yen and shared 2 hours talking on our issues...and in the evening unexpectedly I met my other good friend Helen and we had dinner together. We haven't met each other for awhile and it is really good to catch up with her.
Conclusion for the day is...sometimes the least you expect, the better it would be !!
Have a good week ahead :-)
True love is only true when the feeling is mutual. Yet, it need not be expressed in words. When love is true, you just feel it ! TRUE LOVE MEANS PLANNING OUR LIVE FOR TWO..

Happiness
I have been reading self help books about happiness lately and before that I have never thought of seeking and missing it as much as now, probably I could feel happiness is there in me.
I began reading dharma and other inspirational books to rebuild the lost happiness in me. I couldn't feel it as much as before and I feel it tends to slip away easily from me. I love to laugh and I enjoy friend's company even over a chat, it means a lot to me. Sometimes chat friends asked me why is the webcam shaking...as I laugh and giggle when I chat !
A close friend shared his view about chatting with me that he could feel the warm and caring in it...I found the answer after I read an article written by Dalai Lama...I realize I speak or in this case I chat with warm human feeling, sincerity, enjoy listening and respond accordingly and that makes the whole conversation interesting and truly enjoying. Strangely when it happens you know it is just natural...
During my most painful days in life...haha not when I gave birth to my beautiful kids...I met a new friend in the temple and she passed me this book "How To Develop Happiness in Daily Living". I like to share with you one of the topic..."Living without attachment but with LOVE" written by Ajahn Sumedho, I can be kind, generous and loving towards you, and that is a joy to me. I believe so as we are responsible for what we do and we shouldn't depend upon the kindness of others to be happy. So, I find my happiness when I create happiness for others.
I really want more people to read this book..maybe will consider a donation to the temple to reprint for distribution...
Be happy...live in present moments !

Friendship
Do you believe there is true friendship out there ? I do...
What I meant by good friends, I dont measure them by quantity or how many I have, they are those who appreciate the company, able to walk through, help and share moments in life during our ups and downs...
Some of my true friends were colleagues that we couldn't open up initially and slowly over the years, we shared our experiences and thoughts...we became a friend in need for each other.
Recently since the reconnection with old friends through facebook, I have been able to chat with school mates or friends over the net and it is really great. I have some childhood friends since school days, we cycled together, we played together but somehow I find myself not as open when it comes to sharing some personal topics..maybe there is a missing gap during our growing up stage and we have different life experiences that sadly we couldn't share or expect them to understand.
This evening, I was invited by gay friends for a drinking session. If I could recall when I was much younger, I probably can't accept gays or lesbian, but nowadays just within my own circle of friends, I have lesbian and gays friends and there is really nothing to hide anymore.
Cheers my friends !

Joke of the day
This evening I had to get a gift for my girl's little friend in school. So to avoid going to bigger mall like One U where parking can be a nightmare, I decided to visit the Centrepoint...our neighborhood mall.
So, I was lucky enough that I found a gift shop...I went in greeted by a "Makcik" shopkeeper and she asked me if I was looking for a gift. I said to her "for 6 years old girl, ada Barbie Doll tak ?" Guess what she did...there were lots of soft toys and she pointed at a "Piggy" soft toy !
I couldn't help laughing and I walked out of the shop......
What a good laugh for the evening !

Unusual Sunday
This Sunday has been an unusual one for me.
My Sundays are usually very busy packed with kids activities that are not possible during weekdays. But today, kids are away for a full day outing and my schedule has changed, I really find it hard to past, friends are not on line and I was feeling a little lazy to drive.
I woke up as early as 6 am.....(sigh) on a Sunday morning, and did some spring cleaning of the house. I decided to watch a DVD which I normally won't have time to do it. However, I chose a wrong movie...love story involving affairs but consolation is the movie is acted by my favourite James Bond - Pierre Brosnan...haha.
I had a short nap unusual for me again... as I was feeling really unhappy and somewhat emotional. It is just one of those weird mood, having too many things on my mind maybe I was restless with the change of my routine......terrible right, when I have more time to myself I am also complaining !
I am glad that I received 2 very motivated phone calls to cheer me up, one from my best friend and my cousin who happened to transit in KLIA. One wise conversation that I have learned from my cousin... "You have to be a happy Mom to the kids".

Fish Spa
Have you tried this before ?
I am sure you have heard of this before when it was introduced here in KL maybe 1 - 2 years ago. And it is getting very popular now available every where.
When I was in Xiamen early this year, we went to Riyuegu Hotspring and we seen china men all over the fish pool not only dipping their foot, but the entire body.
Let me share my experience with you...
I decided to do it last night and OMG believe me, it is not fun at all at the beginning. The brochure stated it will be a great experience.....but I think otherwise.
It was so ticklish that I lifted my foot out of the pool several times...almost given up. The guy at the shop adviced me to bear with the ticklish sensations for a few minutes and I will be fine after that. So, to make my money worth..I actually kept my foot inside the pool for awhile and surprising eventually I can tolerate it and I did enjoy the rest of the kissing and sucking by the toothless fishes. But the thought of seeing those fishes surrounding the legs can be quite scary.
My son enjoyed it too but he was only doing it with his hands.
At the end of the session, I can feel the blood circulating especially at the toes area. Will I go back again...if given a choice between the foot reflexology and fish spa..I will go for the foot reflex though can be a lot more painful that this.
I guess I have higher tolerance for pain than feeling ticklish. Haha..having said that, don't try to tickle me ya !

Joelle's 6th Birthday
Yesterday I celebrated my girl's birthday (actual day is today) and she looked forward to this day since last year after she had her 5th birthday party :-)
She woke up very early and she came to me.."Mom, aren't you going to wish me ?" I could hardly open my eyes as I was sort of having a hang over from the wine drinking session. But I must say I had a real good time, sipping great wines and food, of course the company !
More on Joelle's birthday...she wanted a Power Puff Girl's cake and luckily I managed to get her one with the picture of power puff girl. I bought some stuff for the party packs and she had a real good time giving out to her friends. As this is her last year in kindergarten, this would be great memories for her. Some of her little friends were so cute..."Aunty, I forgot to tell my mommy to buy Joelle a present, I think I will bring on Monday".
In the evening, my sister treated the birthday girl a nice dinner except for me not in the mood...
At the end of the day, I know she is very happy with the birthday celebration, she gave me a card and she appreciates what I did for her.

Feeling nostalgic through facebook
I am glad that facebook has managed to link me to some friends whom we have lost touch especially after everyone left secondary school to pursue their higher education. I must thank my classmate Tony for the effort to link us up again. Over the years, we have been too busy with our work, life and family and it is really great to reconnect again.
I have been reconnected with Huey who is now residing in US and he has brought back lots of nostalgic memories of school day. Thanks Huey for putting up those lovely pics. I must go back to my hometown to search for more of these pictures. I had a real good laugh looking at those photos that he posted on Facebook. Goodness me...I have forgotten my innocent look during the early 80's...:)

I recalled those good old days in school when we had tea party to celebrate someone's birthday, and we even fixed our own so called "disco lighting" and the Mini Compo or Hi-Fi system for those affordable ones. Danced through the party with Boney M and John Travolta Saturday Night Fever songs...and not forgetting the slow dance towards the end of the party.
Most of us are now mother or father of 1, 2 or 3 or more...we have been through it and now is our turn to see our children enjoying their good times.
Cheers friends.

Fortune Teller
What would you do if you see a fortune reader and he told you something that is not very nice...example : you have a hard life ahead of you and etc.
How would you react ? I have experienced a few before thankfully not all bad ones, but I think we should just listen but don't take it too seriously. What if the fortune teller tells you otherwise very nice thing like you can be a millionaire at certain age....am sure you will be flatter and happy when you heard this... but what if you didn't become one ?? So it is the same situation, be it good or bad for the day, it is only that moment, nothing is permanent. Be positive and happy about it.
Most important is how we lead our life and the perception and our thought . All of us should have a positive outlook of life ahead of us no matter what happened. This morning I read some one wrote on the paper "Let's remember something good today". This is a simple statement but I find it very meaningful, we often think about sad or unhappy things in life....let's change that OK ?
Recently, I received a news of my classmate who unfortunately committed suicide in Australia. I don't really know the reason but it is a sad news. And when I did a spring clean of my email addresses, I find it sad to delete email addresses of those who have left us :(
OK that is all about the sad things.......what about I share this website with you for some positive thinking...www.ripplecards.com.
The happy thing today is a short chat I had that made my day. How about you ?

My new colleagues and the generation gap
This is my 3rd month with this new company and last night we had our very first outing together, and it was to celebrate my boss's birthday as well as another colleague of ours. The planning started beginning of this week over IM, we had our discussion on silence mode..occasionally you will hear some of us giggling over our chat...haha.
Finally we decided to have it at The Curve and we tried the latest outlet..Bubba Gump, the Shrimp Co. My boss ordered the steak which he claimed as chewy as "Bubble Gum"....we had some other starters, main course...and refillable soft drink and ice lemon tea. Of course, my boss has his birthday tease from the restaurant...
During our dinner, we noticed our administrator was the only eating whereas all of us have stopped. And she just ignored us, taking her own sweet time to chew her food 20 times before she swallowed it........And she said " just continue your conversation, I am busy eating here, you guys can entertain me"...that was really funny !
The evening continued with a karaoke session though my boss doesn't sing, we were the one having great time. I realized there is generation gap between me and the juniors. They listen to different type of song, speak some Cantonese jargon that I have never used. They could even rap during and I was really amazed and entertained.
In the office, we usually turn on the radio and when the song played is from the 80's...guess what ? these young people will turn around and giggle at me..."your generations la"!
We had a real good time singing all kinds of songs...including some evergreen songs. Party ended at 3.30 am...
I have enjoyed it...

People Around Us
The sky is turning dark and I have just started my journey to go home...
I am curious if you would do what I usually do when I am on the road ! I like to observe the drivers on the road especially when the traffic is real bad. I always tell my friends, at rush hours, traffic is definitely bad and if you choose to travel during this time, just take it easy...you are probably delayed another 20 mins and you will still be home.
Yesterday I saw a lady talking in the car without hands free kit..nor the blue-tooth, I think she must be on speaker phone...and another was talking with full expressions on her face....that leaves me to think they are having great conversations, or sharing some funny jokes, gossip story about their bosses.....some looked tired.
Life is just about what we experience everyday. Today we learn something interesting at work, we enjoy good conversation over lunch, we network around during social functions and we learn from people around us.
But what matters most is we appreciate what we have today..

Work...do you like yours ?
On a Monday morning, I received an sms from a friend quoting.."back to work again, sigh..."
I guess this is just another routine in our life, can't complain too much about it. How about on days that we don't feel like working, we drop a note to our boss..I am brain tired, I need to rest, what do you think ? I need to break away for a day !
My previous job allowed me to travel averagely once a month and on a very busy month, I have traveled more than twice a month. Somehow the traveling in between desk bound job have made my life more exciting and something to look forward. I prepared myself to meet people, deal with challenges and to ensure the event has a good closure and my client is happy. Currently I don't travel as much as before......guess you can imagine how is my life now. I am so much 9 to 5 person, but luckily my job requires me to see client..so I still get to stay out of office.
Everyone has their complaint about their job...at the end of the day, am sure there is passion in what you are doing ! Let's look forward to another great day ahead :-)

So conclusion is...just read what you like..and if the topic is not right..just close the page..haha that simple :)
- "it is nice"
- "you are such a deep thinker "
- "wow...everyone can see and read about you now...."
- "So sad you didn't mention about me there, and you sounded lonely"

Routines
Again another weekend has passed ! My weekend routine is none other than my kids' activities but occasionally I will try to feed in my own programme, juggling in between. I have been up since 8 am drove them to attend their dhamma class, I catched up with the parents of another child in the same class, did some marketing at the wet market. Afternoon, fetched them to their art class then a little moment with them for afternoon tea, then back home. I decided to go for the evening walk as I needed some times of my own. I find the walk is good as I am giving peace to my mind and a healthy body.
So, this routine has been going on for the past one year, doing all by myself and I really wish I can break this routine and have someone to replace my role. I am tired....then a friend reminded me "You have to live with it" it somehow hit me for a moment...yes that is the path I have to walk and it will be a long walk.
Almost 9 months ago, I started to chat online with friends and it has become a routine too. Interesting conversation took place, jokes, food, something naughty and philosophy of life...and I have so much to laugh about.....it does help to brighten up my day at times.
Thanks to all for having the IM available for me....
Happy Times
Finally the awaited party has arrived...my son was so anxious about it. I sent him to the party and he realised he has forgotten to pack the swimming attire...he called me to send over...a great mom came to his rescue and so sweet of him to receive the packet from me with "Thanks Mom". I am sure he had a real Happy Time there.
Today, my daughter has said the same thing to me "Thanks Mom" simply because I cooked her a bowl of noodle.
As for me, I have just came home after a good time spent with my neighbours and kids...pot luck, lantern and playing with candles for the kids. It is another Happy Time for all.
Sometimes we really have to appreciate family & friend's company and presence.....thank you to all.

Puppy Love
Some funny conversations I had with my son this morning, he needed to buy a gift for his classmate's birthday and I asked him to join me to shop for his GIRL FRIEND's gift...guess what was his reaction ??? " She is not my girl friend"....it shows clearly he knows the meaning between a girl friend and classmate...haha my boy has grown up :)
Unconditional love = romance
Love should be unconditional, not judgemental and a carefree love will follow in and that is romance..we live by current moment and enjoy the happiness for being together...what will happen tomorrow..we dont know !
I agree and this a good chat that i had with a friend from afar...

Courtship
I had a good dim-sum breakfast with my girl friend and we had this interesting conversation about courtship nowaday..both parties seems to play who is harder to get, no longer excited to send a care sms when you are up from the bed, or just pick the phone up and give your loved one a sweet hello.
What is wrong ? Is everyone really that busy ? Want to go steady but not willing to show their true feeling, is this due to fear to fail if it is not working out ?

True love
Meeting you was fate, becoming your friend was a choice,
falling in love with you was beyond my control.
During one of my many interesting work trips, I had a stop-over in Bangkok airport and found these few interesting lines about true love, it captured my attention so much that it became part of me. Nowadays I choose to live believing in it and I hope it is really there awaiting for me.
