Great songs for great memories

This evening driving home could have been nightmare and horrible experience.  The rain was heavy and traffic was unusually slow.

Somehow, I was so relaxed in the car,  feeling joy thinking of incidents for the day..nothing unpleasant !  Everything has been great since I got up from the bed....Even the car park attendant has greeted with a nice warm smile when I left the office.    I just don't have any reason to be unhappy about :)

Thanks to the wonderful songs on the radio that kept me company.  They reminded me of my younger days, tea party and those great fun at home.  The carefree days, inviting guys and gals made equal couples for slow dancing !  Hahaha...so fun and so sweet then !

Posting here 2 great songs by Modern Talking !

Divorce

I have heard of so many unhappy marriages lately...very sad but it is all happening around me.  People that I know and seeing them losing weight coping with the whole ordeal.

One girl friend just successfully signed the divorce petition, another girl friend is waiting for the hearing that has been postponing since 6 years ago.  The postponement is enough to make her feeling stressed up.

And comparing what they have gone through and what I am going through, should I claim I am better ?  I really don't know what lies ahead of me ?  Do I have as much to deal with ?  Unfortunately some are facing abusive husbands and continuous threats !

How does one feel the moment the divorce is finally signed and done ?  What is the feeling ? Relief, insecure, happy or sad ?  How is one going to face the family, children, friends and the society ? Am I prepared for that ? Good question ??? Sometimes I think I do...I hope so !

Probably it will depend on if the divorce is settled amicably....what do you think ?

Everything happens for a reason

Everything happened for a reason, I believe so and it is true !

Recently my girl friend went abroad to nurse her injured boy friend.  She spent almost 1 month with him and today I asked her, how she felt after one month !?

Before she left the country, her relationship with her boy friend has been bad, and they were at the edge of splitting.  He has been working abroad and occasionally returned to visit her.  Trying very hard to mend the relationship !  Should I say fortunately or unfortunately he injured himself badly and went for a major spine operation.  And she was there to take care of him.

It has been a good one month of staying together that brought them closer and they are more patient, and they talked more than usual.   Both of them appreciate the company of one another, and the tensed relationship is now better and she is a changed person.

In life, when we face difficult changes and circumstances, we may cry and feel sad, but we learn to face it and stand up again.  Sometimes, we just live in the nutshell not knowing how to release and let go, thus we create the tension and stress unnecessarily.

I guess God has created this little suffering to bring the mindfulness of this lovely couple together again !  To understand, to find out the value of one another and how much they needed each other.

At times, I think to myself, why do I worry so much and why do I care so much for something that I am unable to control, like what he or she is thinking of ?  I should not let the fear stay in me, I have no desire of fear and I willingly seek my own happiness and the purpose of my life.

May they be happy and peace, Metta !

Happy for you

Today I read a good news from a friend's blog.  And finally his wish came true.  Being a true friend, I am so happy for him.   It is time for a small celebration....lol !

Despite having a terrible headache, bad stomach and muscle aches after the prayer,  I still feel so happy for you...wish you all the best !

A song to celebrate this special day for you...

Tonight the rain is falling

Full of memories of people and places

And while the past is calling

In my fantasy I remember their faces
The hopes we had were much too high

Way out of reach but we had to try

The game will never be over

Because we're keeping the dream alive

I hear myself recalling

Things you said to me

The night it all started

And still the rain is falling
Makes me feel the way

I felt when we parted

The hopes we had were much too high

Way out of reach but we have to try

No need to hide no need to run
'Cause all the answers come one by one

The game will never be over

Because we're keeping the dream alive
I need you

I love you
The game will never be over

Because we're keeping the dream alive

The hopes we had were much too high

Way out of reach but we had to try
No need to hide no need to run

'Cause all the answers come one by one

The hopes we had were much too high

Way out of reach but we had to try
No need to hide no need to run

'Cause all the answers come one by one

The game will never be over

Because we're keeping the dream alive
The game will never be over

Because we're keeping the dream alive

The game will never be over

What keeps me going ?

Sometimes I wonder where do I get these much of energy every day to cope with my life ??

My life is about balancing between work, children, friends and households and etc.  So much to work on and sometimes like I always rant about my weekends are so hectic, yet it is just going on and on and I am still smiling at the end of a very tiring day !

I do feel the bodily exhaustion and last night, I went to bed at 9.30 pm even before the kids went to bed, I know most parents would ensure the children went to bed before they do, but on odd days like this, my kids will understand !

This weekend is a unique one for me,  I created the bonding time with each of them.  I brought my son with me when I did my grocery, he helped me with the shopping list, initially he seems reluctant to join me, but eventually we had good time.  And this morning, I had my little girl to accompany my morning walk, wow she has good stamina and she managed to walk 2 rounds with me, equivalent to 20 mins of walk, and a little hop to make the walk more interesting.   With her around, we sing as we walk..haha, a good one ! And finally I have my eldest daughter to join me at wet market.   She helped out in paying money, good for her to practise some maths.

I supposed the source of my never ending energy comes from my precious  three and the love in my heart.  It motivates me to live my life to the best.  The encouragement and supports from family and friends also keeps me going.   At times when I am feeling down, comforting words from trusted friends are truly appreciated.

This positive energy is growing stronger each day that I love my life,  despite it hasn't been easy all the way but yet there is always something to look forward to.  Somehow, I believe my life ahead is only getting better !

I appreciate what I have learnt spiritually that given me the aspiration, the loving kindness heart that one should have !   They drive me to live on despite the challenges I went through.

Challenges is a gift in life...without it, we will not progress and when it gets tougher, it allows to learn from it and excel from it.

I am glad and thanks for being there for me....

Pilgrimage Prayer 朝山

Last week my Dhamma buddy informed me of this activity and I happily told her, count me in !

Got up very early at 5 am and drove to FGS and there is already lots of people getting ready to begin the prayer.  I see at least 100 peoples this morning !

This is my 2nd time performing this Pilgrimage Prayer.  This is normally done as a pilgrimage prayer to Buddhism Holy Mountain, but since we do not have such environment, our prayer was conducted around the field opposite the premises of FGS.

It took us 2 hours to complete the square and it is not easy to do this, we chant while walking 3 steps with a 5-point prostration position, just repeating the same thing till we complete the walk. It takes great perseverance to do this and what are the benefit of doing this, reduce my bad karma, enhancing my Dhamma practise and training ones perseverance and determination.  And if my family and friends come along, it is a good way to strengthen the ties and bonding between family and friends.

I am happy that I did it again....though both my knees are very sore and likely some pain soon !
