友达以上，恋人未满！ In between friendship and love !
I read an article or rather a story line of a couple who are in between friendship and love. They met and they fell in love, then he realised he wasn't ready to be committed and thought it would not work out for them.
As time goes by, he realised he is ready and in fact he has always had her in his mind and heart, and sadly he was too late to confess, she has found someone !
The morale of this story is the guy was truly honest of how he felt..and he has lost her. If he hadn't been so truthful about his feelings, the feeling of "friendship" will eventually grow to "love" just a matter of time. A romance with great efforts from both parties that will not wither or fade away !
At times, can we really define the relationship and its situation like if is actually "like" or "love", "emotions" or "affections", "responsibility" or "commitment". It is hard to be precise especially in a relationship and why do we prejudge the relationship if it is like this or that ? Why not just let it flow naturally ?
I would rather he had told her a white lies of how he felt about their relationship than to loose her complete and the greatest love of all !
Being truthful can be so hurtful and he has broken her heart and perhaps she rather believe that he had not been so honest with his feelings and thoughts ! At the end if she finally accepted that he was just lying to her, at least she knew he has lied to her for a good reason ~ didn't want to hurt her !
Making sense ???
Why I write about this is because of the Chinese proverbs, the moment I read......the beauty of Mandarin ! In simple 8 letters.....it expresses so much !
